The value of Shiba Inu tokens has seen a decline as the Shibarium mainnet bridge restarts operations. The Shibarium team reported that withdrawals from the bridge would experience longer processing times.
According to an update from lead developer Shytoshi Kusama, the bridge is now functioning optimally, but digital assets such as SHIB, Leash, WETH, and Bone may take up to three hours to process withdrawals.
Bone token withdrawals specifically may require up to seven days. Kusama attributed the extended withdrawal period to the bridge’s design and assured the SHIB community that their funds were safe and that Shibarium was prepared for mainstream use. The Shibarium bridge previously faced complications during its launch, resulting in temporary access halts and issues such as stuck transactions and frozen funds.
The Polygon team provided assistance in resolving the situation. Despite the network’s restart, Shiba Inu-related tokens, including Bone and SHIB, have not seen positive price performance and are struggling amid a bearish sentiment in the broader crypto market, with Bitcoin trading below $26,000 and the market falling by 0.65% to $1.04 trillion.
