In a recent cyber attack, Telegram chatbot Unibot has lost approximately $640,000 in digital assets. The company has assured its users of reimbursement for the stolen assets.
The hacker was able to exploit a vulnerability in the newly implemented contract, leading to the theft. Unibot’s team is currently investigating the issue and plans to release a comprehensive response soon.
The cybersecurity company, PeckShield, discovered that the attacker had transferred the stolen cryptocurrency to Uniswap. From there, it was routed to the controversial crypto mixer, Tornado Cash.
Unibot has not yet released any further details about the incident or its plans for reimbursement of the stolen assets.
