A colossal transfer of Shiba Inu (SHIB) tokens has been carried out by a deep-pocketed trader, sparking intrigue in the crypto community.
As data from whale-surveying platform Whale Alert reveals, a so-called Shiba Inu ‘whale’ has abruptly shifted an astronomical 4,584,530,677,374 SHIB tokens, approximating to $33 million. This massive amount was moved out of Bitvavo, a Netherlands-based cryptocurrency exchange, and into an unidentified wallet, as per data from the whale-monitoring platform, Whale Alert.
The Ethereum (ETH) blockchain explorer, Etherscan, confirmed the transfer, which took place in the early morning hours of October 5th.
This considerable movement comes one week after the Shiba Inu development team issued warnings to investors about potential fraudsters within the SHIB ecosystem.
They advised investors to conduct their own research and to remain skeptical of any entities claiming association with “Shibarium,” the recently launched layer-2 scaling solution of the SHIB ecosystem.
The SHIB team assured that any legitimate partnerships would be officially announced through the ecosystem’s Discord channel or official blog.
