The arrest of crypto influencer BitBoy Crypto, also known as Ben Armstrong, during a YouTube livestream on Monday evening has garnered attention from notable figures in the cryptocurrency space.
Billy Markus, the co-creator of Dogecoin, and crypto journalist Stephen Findeisen, known as Coffeezilla, expressed their reaction to the incident.
Markus found humor in BitBoy’s statement about going “live from a special location” and subsequently getting arrested on the livestream, considering it as ‘peak comedy’.
Coffeezilla emphasized the ironic nature of the situation, commenting on BitBoy live-streaming himself going to someone’s house to retrieve his alleged stolen Lamborghini and immediately getting arrested.
He said: “Did Bitboy just live-stream himself showing up to a guys house who “stole” his lambo and immediately get arrested? Crypto is so back.
