Crypto Aid Israel, a collective of Israeli Web3 community members and global companies, has amassed over $185,000 in less than two weeks. The funds raised have been distributed among several aid organizations.
The group was formed to alleviate suffering in southern Israel. To date, two rounds of aid distribution have been conducted, dispensing approximately 200,000 shekels ($50,000).
Among the recipients are the Foundation for Advancing Citizens of Eshkol Regional Council, which offers transportation and shelter to those residing near Gaza, and Zaka, which utilized the funds to procure medical equipment and protective gear for frontline workers.
Other beneficiaries include Lev Echad by Or Hanegev veHagalil, which typically assists at-risk youth, and Latet, which is directing the funds towards a large-scale operation to provide food and hygiene products for those in southern Israel.
Several companies, including KPMG, Zengo, Fuse, Wonderland, Psagot Equity, have supported the Crypto Aid Israel initiative. The organization is accepting donations through a multisignature wallet available on its website, but urges donors to be vigilant against phishing attacks.
