EXPLAINED: The Lil Tay coin was launched on the BNB Smart Chain with a total supply of 100 coins. While no one has claimed responsibility for the coin, Lil Tay’s ex-manager, Harry Tsang, stated that he had been planning to launch a Lil Tay cryptocurrency coin but denied any involvement with the one that was released. Tsang warned users on Twitter about a potential scam related to the coin.
The announcement of Lil Tay’s death was made on her Instagram account, but its authenticity and control remained uncertain. Lil Tay gained fame at a young age for her provocative and controversial videos, collaborating with well-known YouTubers. Her social media presence was previously wiped and restored after a leaked video revealed scripting behind her content.
In 2021, Lil Tay and her brother resurfaced on social media, making abuse allegations against their father. Christopher Hope, Lil Tay’s father, denied these claims. Authorities have no information on an investigation into the death of someone named Claire Hope.
